The Band
Started in 2012, the band is a collaborative effort pulling from every member's musical background. Their songs, ranging from hard rocking riffs to slow melodic jams, will leave you on the edge of your seat and wanting more. This band hailing from Phoenix, Arizona, the valley that created great rock outfits like Jimmy Eat World and The Maine, has set out to show that there's still life in this cactus filled desert. According to the band, "The original idea was to start a band that really didn't have a defined direction. We wanted to start jamming and figure out our sound as we went." The result is a mixture of the grit that one would expect from bands like Fall Out Boy or Anberlin mixed with the pop rock edge that one might expect from this region. Watch out for them as they continue to push their way to the top of the scene with their amazing blend of bite and beauty._
The Members
Clifton Peotter (Vocals/Rhythm Guitar) was born in the Los Angeles area and moved to Arizona with his family when he was a young lad. He has since called the valley his home. His father was a multi-instrumentalist and he grew up around music and songwriting and concerts. He tried many instruments throughout his school years, but finally was enamored by the guitar at 16 and sold his school trumpet, dropped band class, and never looked back. He credits Dion as the reason he picked up guitar in the first place, as he had always grown up thinking that a guitar was a difficult instrument to play and was only able to be mastered through years of training; but one look at Dion’s high school band gave him the confidence to try it out for himself. Clifton has been forming and playing in various bands for the last 12 years, some which received moderate success. His taste in playing grew from fast punk music and songs about teenage angst to rock music and deeper thematic material. Clifton has also received schooling in the music industry, recently graduating with a music business degree from a local college, and has used the knowledge to put towards Mimelight and help them navigate through the music industry to make this band a success. He hopes to make music performance his career, or at least to make a living in the music industry in concert promotion or marketing for musical instrument companies.
Clifton lives with his wife and two children in Gilbert, and hopes that the legacy he can leave his children shows that he was passionate about something and never gave up on his dreams. He hopes one day for his children to discover his music and maybe continue in the lineage of songwriters in the family. |
Dion Didomenico (Lead Guitar/Vocals) is an Arizona native. Born in Mesa, he grew up in and around the great music scene of the late 90's and early 2000's. Originally a drummer, Dion has always found a way to drive the beat. Dion grew up in bands playing percussion, until he discovered the electric guitar. Since picking up a guitar in junior high school, it has become an added appendage, which he uses just as easily as he would his hands and fingers. Clifton and he grew up in the same neighborhood and as such have been friends for years. After discovering their mutual love for music, they struck together to form some amazing garage pop punk bands. He continued to hone his skills in high school and beyond, and began to pursue a career in business right out of high school. Dion, who has always been a high achiever, was able to travel the world as a businessman and partner in a very successful marketing company. Never wanting to pause his progress, Dion has since moved on, and is now in pursuit of a double major in business related fields. After reconnecting with Clifton in 2011, the two began to form an idea that would soon become the foundation of Mimelight.

Mark Reyes (Bass/Vocals)was born in the dusty town of Tucson, Arizona. After moving to Mesa as a child, he decided to adopt the valley as his own. As a child, Mark always displayed a knack for singing and began to explore music as a vocalist. As a teenager, he was a member of at least 2 school and church choirs at any given time. During his time in high school, he met another musician who introduced him to the bass guitar. After teaching Mark the fundamentals of the bass, the two formed a pop rock garage band and spent many hours in and after school coming up with original songs. Since then, music has become an obsession with Mark. He is usually seen with a headphone in his ear, or searching the web for new music and fresh bands to fill his hard drive. As if it was scripted, Mark met his wife while playing bass for her best friend's band. Her support of Mark's love of music has pushed him to continue to pursue his passion. He and his wife have a young son and the two are always trying to introduce rock music to him. Their son can usually be spotted running around while the band practices their newest songs.

Jesse Palmer (Drums) was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona and is happily married to his wife, Hilarie. Just recently, they introduced their little girl into the world and are loving every second of parenthood. Both of Jesse's parents are accomplished musicians and he quickly followed in their footsteps. His father, also an extraordinary drummer, was quick to teach Jesse the ways of the drummer. Jesse found his love for the drums early, along with a love for the acoustic guitar. While in high school, Jesse continued his musical education both in school and out. His love of ska led him to join a ska inspired rock band during his high school days. After high school he expanded his knowledge of both the guitar and drums and began to teach private lessons for both in his home. At the same time, Jesse began to dabble in recording and decided to pursue an education as a sound engineer. He opened his own recording studio while finishing a degree in sound engineering. His ear as a guitarist and drummer has formed him into an incredible engineer and producer. Jesse offers incredible engineering services in the valley through his business, SoundBox Recordings.
